Re-rounding & New Years Thought
Well, this is my second attempt at blogging. I had a sweet blog with blogspot (http://bit.ly/gvrIDV), but it was bulky and didn’t integrate as well with my other internet profiles and social networks.
So here it goes for number two. I like tumblr better. Anyways, my first thought for the first day of the year is this:
Ryan Seacrest vs. Carson Daly for the New Years Eve countdown. Who did you watch? Isn’t it interesting that they both were broadcasting from Times Square for the same event, but on two different channels? I mean, the only people I could imagine would prefer the washed-up Daly over his charismatic Idol nemesis are the now grown-up girls that once stood screaming their love below the TRL (if you can’t decipher that acronym, I have successfully dated myself) New York window.
But nevertheless, both personalities secured airtime in the coveted New Years time slot. I’d love to see the viewership (sp?) numbers…anyone have the stats? Or does anyone have a picture of either living legend on their iPhone from Times Square last night?
In other washed up news - I’m glad (read: not glad) we rang in the New Year with New Kids On The Block and The Backstreet Boys.
